The Next Chapter

Golf on the
Horizon.

The land has always been the story. Now, we are shaping the earth for our next great pursuit. A world-class 18-hole links course is in the planning stages.

A Vision Taking Shape

True first-class golf relies on the natural movement of the earth. At Lazy J Sporting Club, we have the finest natural contours in the Midwest.

For four generations, the Jorgensen family has stewarded this land for agriculture and world-class pheasant hunting. As we look to the future, we envision a golf experience that feels as though it has always been here. While the course is not yet available for booking, the routing is being walked, the vision is crystallizing, and the future of Lazy J is looking bright.

The Roadmap

What to Expect.

Phase 01

The Vision

Identifying the perfect natural contours across our land. A world-class course shouldn't be built; it should be discovered.

Phase 02

Routing & Design

Working with master architects to route 18 holes that respect the prairie, the wind, and the natural flow of the South Dakota landscape.

Phase 03

Shaping the Earth

Careful earthwork to establish greens and tees while preserving the rugged, native fescue that will line the fairways.

Phase 04

The Inaugural Season

Opening the links to our members and guests. A new chapter in the Lazy J story, offering an unparalleled sporting experience.

Lazy J

Follow the Journey.

The golf course is an upcoming addition to the Lazy J experience. While we shape the fairways, you can still book our world-class hunting and events.
